JWAS Teen Student Signs Professional Contract with Top Talent Agency!

JWAS Teen Student, Kate Reis, was recently signed to a professional contract with Abrams Artists Agency, one of the top talent agencies in New York & Hollywood! Kate has already been busy auditioning for numerous television and film projects and it looks like she’s on her way to a successful career! Congratulations Kate!

  • New Classes Set for January 2013!

    JW actors studio is happy to announce our new classes beginning in January 2013

    • First is our 12 week  acting workshop for children ages 8-10. This class is for those children who are beginners and will be a wonderful introduction for them to the world of theater! This class will be held from 4-5 PM and will begin on Friday, January 4th, 2013 and will run through March 22nd. The class will be held at our Forrestal Village location.

    • Second will be our Improvisation Class for students ages 13-16. The class will focus on Improvisation as a tool for actors and for performance of improvised and written sketches. The skills learned in this workshop will enhance the students confidence not only on stage but in life as they develop many skills including: Listening, Collaboration, Writing, Teamwork, Speaking in Public, Quick Thinking, and much more. We begin on Wednesday, January 9th and will run through March 27th 2013 from 4:30-6:00 PM. The workshop will be held at our new location at the Princeton Center for Arts and Education!

    • Third is our Improvisation workshop for adults ages 17 and up. The class will focus on basic to advanced Improv exercises and games to allow the student to be fully open to tapping into their creativity and inner comic actor! The class will end with a performance for a live audience of invited guests. The class will run on Fridays January 11th through March 29th 2013 and will be held at our Forrestal Village location from 7-8:30 PM.

    • And last but certainly not least, our schedule is set for our Acting/Improvisation workshop for Adults. This class will focus on various acting techniques with the thought that each student will discover what works best for them. We will also focus on improvisation as a tool for actors and truthful  honest behavior onstage and on camera. The class will also feature scene study and character development work. There are two sessions available: Wednesday mornings  10-11:30 AM running January 9th through March 27th and Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 PM running January 10th through March 28th 2013.
