Class Descriptions
Advanced Acting / Improv Adults
Our advanced acting/improv workshop for adults is for those students returning to the program and for those individuals who have some background in live theater and/or improv. The workshop will combine acting technique, monologues and scene study with comedy improvisation. This group will form the nucleus of our Acting Company as well as “What Exit?” our improv comedy troupe that will perform in the Princeton area as well as other venues.
Mondays 7:00-9:00PM
12 week sessions
Our acting class for youngsters age 10-15 is for those returning to the program as well as for individuals with some theater/acting background. We will review the basic games and exercises, add in more advanced techniques and then dig into our monologue and scene work. We will present our monologues along with some improvisation at our theater in Princeton Junction halfway through the year as well as an afternoon of theater at the conclusion of the session in June.

Beginner-Intermediate Acting / Improv For Adults
This workshop is intended for the beginning actor and those with a little experience in the craft. We will explore the techniques needed to behave honestly and truthfully in the imaginary circumstances through acting exercises, games, and a lot of improvisation. We will work on monologues in this session as well as explore scene study techniques.

12 week sessions
Ages 10-15: This workshop is intended for youngsters continuing with the program from the previous session and for those with minimal experience in acting. We will focus on theater games and exercises designed to build confidence and open the student up creatively. We will explore the world of improvisation as well as work on monologues.
Saturdays 2:30-3:30PM
12 week sessions
Our advanced acting program for teens is for those students returning to the studio and for individuals with some fairly solid experience on stage or in an acting program. There are few open spots for the program and are available to students who have worked with Mr. Wood in the past or by audition. Please visit our Open House or call for an appointment.
The program will begin with a review of our work last season and will then progress into more advanced methods to the work. This year we continue on with a more disciplined approach to the work while maintaining the fun atmosphere the students are used to. The class will be visited by theater and film professionals for talks and seminars throughout the season. Last year saw 5 of our students brought in for interviews with a top Talent Management Company and asked to sign professional contracts! There will be 2 performances on our stage in Princeton Junction during the season that will be attended by industry professionals.
